All 3 and 4-year-olds in England are entitled to 570 hours of funded early education or childcare a year. Your child is entitled to a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. Approved providers include child-minders, playgroups, pre-schools and day nurseries that are registered and inspected by OFSTED. Parents can choose which provider they would like their child to go to, as long as they have places available.
Working parents may be entitled to 1140 hours of funded early education or childcare a year. Your child is entitled to a maximum of 30 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. To find out if you are eligible to claim 30 hours, please go to https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
Please note that 38 weeks is how many weeks the Government pay us for your free funding not 52 weeks, therefore for ease of continuity we then divide this over 12 in equal monthly instalments.
In addition to Full day Care, Dawn to Dusk Day Nursery also offer completely free Childcare sessions using the Government Funding 15 hours, there are also a number of limited 30 hour free sessions, please see Funded Pre School.
